The stainless steel knife gate valve is forced sealing, that is, it relies on external force to force the gate to the seat when the valve is closed in order to ensure the tightness of the sealing surface.
The stainless steel knife gate valve has a good shearing effect due to the knife-shaped gate and is most suitable for difficult-to-control fluids such as slurry, powder, and fiber. It is widely used in papermaking, petrochemicals, mining, drainage, food and other industries. There are a variety of valve seats to choose from, and they can be equipped with electric or pneumatic actuators according to the needs of on-site control to realize the automatic operation of the valve.
The majority of carbon steel or cast iron components in fabricated valves corrode and fail as a result of leakage of corrosive media brought on by improper packing maintenance or line pressure surges.
A valve made entirely of stainless steel will withstand corrosion better than one with a cast iron lining valves. The total cost of the stainless steel knife gate valves becomes more attractive than the initial savings.
