Steam Trap

Steam traps are often referred to as traps for short. The reason for the emergence of steam traps is that steam is often used in our daily production process. Whether it is producing steam or using steam for heat tracing, stripping or driving equipment, etc., steam will generate water in the process of being used, and water will easily cause water hammer in the process of pipeline flow, causing damage to equipment. Therefore, in order to protect the safety of production equipment, people need to drain the excess water in time.

When it comes to steam traps,  we will think of "blocking steam and passing liquid" or "blocking gas and passing liquid", because through these we can directly understand the role of steam traps. What is the valve used for. After we understand the function of the trap, it is necessary to understand its working principle, or what principles it uses to remove water in time. Obviously, it is necessary to have a comprehensive understanding of it, because learning to be familiar with a product as much as possible and understanding the multiple types and functions of the product can help us better choose the product suitable for our own production process.

For a steam trap to remove water from a piping system, it must first have the ability to "recognize" steam and condensate. Its ability to "identify" steam and condensate is based on three basic principles: density difference, temperature difference, and phase transition between gas and liquid. According to these three principles, three types of steam traps have been manufactured, namely mechanical type, thermostatic type and thermodynamic type, among which the mechanical type is more cost-effective, so mechanical steam traps are widely used in various industries. The probability of application in production is also the highest. In addition, in order to meet larger displacement and more complex working conditions, more combined type valves are often used, of which the typical one is the floating ball thermostatic steam trap. The valve structure is advanced and reasonable. Under the working condition of load, the condensed water formed when the superheated steam is condensed can be discharged in time, effectively preventing the leakage of the superheated steam, and the working quality is high.
