Solution for the String Pressure of Pressure Reducing Regulator Valve

The cascade pressure problem in the pressure reducing regulator valve is a rare occurrence, but it may potentially be a source of failure. The causes and remedies to the pressure reducing regulator valve cascade pressure problem are then discussed by Meston.

1. Causes of the string pressure of the pressure reducing regulator valve

The valve at P1 was closed or overhauled because to a pipe network rupture at the back part of the pressure reducer valve, and the pump station A pump ceased working, resulting in low water pressure or even an empty pipe at the back portion of the pressure reducer valve after the valve. When the pressure at the front section of the pressure reducer valve is suddenly opened or the pump at pump station A is turned on, the pressure at the front section of the pressure reducer valve rapidly increases, resulting in a large pressure difference between the front and rear sections of the pressure reducing regulator valve in a short period of time. The pressure reducer valve is too late to work, the pressure reducer valve upper chamber pressure is very low, and in this larger pressure drive, the pressure reducer valve is forced open, resulting in the pressure reducer valve before and after the pressure reducer valve tending to balance, the pressure reducer valve failing quickly. The pressure reducer valve, i.e. the cascade pressure, fails for a short period.

2. Solutions for the string pressure of the pressure reducing regulator valve

(1) Install a pressure relief valve after the pressure reducer valve, based on the working principle of the pressure reducer valve, so that when the pressure after the pressure reducer valve exceeds P2, the pressure relief valve opens to release the pressure and protect village A's normal water supply pressure.

(2) Reduce the cascade pressure to near zero using alternative methods.

(3) Increase the diameter of the pilot valve and the conduit in accordance with the working principle of the pressure reducing regulator valve to reduce the time it takes for the upper and lower chambers to reach pressure equilibrium, even to the point of convergence to a time difference of 0.

The second option described above, which can be opened quickly by the water relief valve, so that the pressure in the upper chamber of the diaphragm is greater than the pressure in the lower chamber, prompting the pressure reducing regulator valve to return to normal quickly, is the most economical and practical, according to practical verification. The pressure time in the sequence is virtually nil.

Regulator valves from MSTN International Technologies Company are classified as medium flow, low flow, or micro flow valves, and as low, medium, or high pressure valves, depending on their nominal capacity. They work at temperatures ranging from -225 to 450°C. Regulating valves come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including single and double-seated, straight, tilting, and three-way valves. The two-seat valve, with a spring-loaded diaphragm as the actuation mechanism, is the most prevalent.
