Application of Flanged Eccentric Butterfly Valve


The advantages of eccentric butterfly valves and other butterfly valves are very prominent, so they are widely used in all aspects of life and work, meeting various different requirements. With the continuous development of eccentric seal butterfly valve technology, its application space is also becoming more and more extensive.

Application of double eccentric butterfly Valve


The double eccentric seal butterfly valve adopts an eccentric structure design. Its valve main structure consists of valve body, butterfly plate, valve seat, valve stem, and transmission mechanism. The valve seat adopts a detachable structure and can be selected with corresponding corrosion-resistant, light-resistant, and aging-resistant materials according to the physical and chemical characteristics of different media. It can be widely used as a regulating and shut-off device in fluid pipelines such as water supply and drainage, sewage, construction, air conditioning, petroleum, chemical industry, food, medicine, light textile, papermaking, hydropower, ships, metallurgy, and energy systems.


The double eccentric butterfly valve usually uses polytetrafluoroethylene material for its sealing seat, and metal sealing seat can be used to expand its application in high-temperature fields. However, the sealing of the double eccentric butterfly valve with a metal sealing seat still belongs to the position sealing structure, that is, the sealing surface of the butterfly plate and the valve seat is linear contact. Therefore, it cannot withstand high pressure. When used in a high-pressure system, it will inevitably lead to a larger leakage. Therefore, the use of double eccentric butterfly valve with metal sealing seat should be avoided in high-pressure or tightly sealed systems.


Application of triple eccentric butterfly valve


The triple eccentric butterfly valve is the crystallization of the latest valve technology, taking the advantages of various types of valves and avoiding their disadvantages, and it is increasingly being valued by users and designers. Its maximum pressure rating can reach 2500 pounds, and the standard diameter can be up to 48 inches. It can correspond to different structures such as clamp type, protruding ear type, flange type, ring connection type, butt welding type, clamp jacket type, etc. Due to the large selection of materials, it can easily handle various corrosive media such as high and low temperatures, acids, and alkalis.


Especially in the case of large diameter, with its zero leakage advantage, it is replacing bulky gate valves and ball valves in shut-off valves. Also, with its excellent control function, it is replacing heavy globe valves in control valves. So far, triple eccentric butterfly valves have been used in the process control of major industrial fields such as petroleum and natural gas exploitation, offshore platforms, petroleum refining, petrochemicals, inorganic chemicals, and energy generation systems. In practical engineering, if the working pressure of the system is not less than 1.0 MPa or in important parts that need to be frequently opened, triple eccentric butterfly valves can be selected.
